Why get involved? Because Jesus said to.

In that great parable in Matthew 25 Jesus tells us very clearly who are part of God's realm and who are not. And it reads like a checklist for most of us:

Fed the hungry - check. Gave water to the thirsty - check.

Donated clothes to those who needed them - check.

Provided hospitality for strangers and the homeless - check.

Visited and cared for the sick - check.

Visited those in prison - uummmmm...not!

It's a difficult directive, isn't it? Mostly because prison is an unfamiliar environment for most of us. And, let's face it, many of us start out with some reluctance to even consider prison ministry. What would we do? How would we know how to act? How could we navigate the red tape!

That's where Kairos comes in. It's an excellent program with a proven track record.

The work is done by a team - you're not on your own. No need to reinvent the wheel.

We invite you to prayerfully ask God - are you being called to Kairos prison ministry?
